Boehringer Ingelheim releases complete opnMe library with 176 molecules for research
Boehringer Ingelheim is opening up its entire opnMe “Molecule-to-Order” library to the international research community with opn2SCREEN . The library includes 176 carefully characterized molecules (99 active ingredients and 77 negative controls) and is now available for systematic screening and profiling studies.
Scientists worldwide are invited to apply with innovative project ideas. We are looking for projects that use the entire library to investigate new biological questions in the context of human diseases. Projects in the fields of cardiovascular-metabolic diseases, immunology, respiratory diseases, neuroscience, oncology, eye health and sustainability research are particularly in demand.

The selected projects will receive the entire library free of charge in 384-well plate format (40 microliters of a 10 mM stick solution per well). The researchers work independently and can publish their results freely.
The application deadline is June 17, 2026. The first deliveries of the library are planned from the third quarter of 2026.
The initiative is part of Boehringer Ingelheim’s opnMe program, which has been supporting scientists worldwide for years with high-quality, well-characterized molecules to promote independent scientific innovation.
