Alexander Zarbock new Secretary General of DIVI
Alexander Zarbock, Director of the Clinic for Anaesthesiology, Surgical Intensive Care Medicine and Pain Therapy at Münster University Hospital, has been elected as the new Secretary General of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (DIVI). He succeeds Prof. Uwe Janssens, who will serve as medical director of DIVI in the future.
Alexander Zarbock explained that the past few years in particular have shown how important strong scientific and clinical networking is. He wants to further promote this cooperation and provide new impetus for intensive care and emergency medicine. The DIVI stands for interdisciplinary exchange and joint action in a time of great change in the health care system.

With the change at the head of the General Secretariat, DIVI is focusing on continuity and at the same time new accents in the further development of interdisciplinary intensive care and emergency medicine in Germany.
The German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (DIVI) is the largest interdisciplinary professional society for intensive care and emergency medicine in Germany. It brings together doctors, nurses and other professional groups from anaesthesiology, internal medicine, surgery, neurology, paediatrics and other disciplines.
