by | Dec 12, 2025 | Health, Research

The Pharmacy Library, a freely accessible service of the EbM network, has been comprehensively updated with version 2.6. The revised link list supports pharmacists and other professionals with questions about medicines, pharmacotherapy and evidence-based methodology. The new version is now available on www.pharmaziebibliothek.de.

In the course of the update, the platform has been fundamentally revised. All links have been checked, outdated sources have been removed, and new, relevant sources of information have been added. The pharmacy library offers quick access to pharmacy-specific content as well as methods of evidence-based medicine and pharmacy. It is primarily aimed at pharmacists in pharmacies and hospital pharmacies, but is also designed for specialists in other pharmaceutical professions.

The update, the editorial deadline for which was December 2025, was supervised by the Department of Evidence-Based Pharmacy of the Network for Evidence-Based Medicine e.V. (EbM Network). The platform is regularly maintained and expanded in order to always provide up-to-date and reliable information. Users are invited to submit suggestions for further valid sources to actively support further development.

The EbM network is committed to making pharmaceutical decisions in care and advice on a sound basis. The aim is to take into account the expertise of pharmacists, patient preferences and the best available scientific evidence from clinical trials. The Department of Evidence-Based Pharmacy is open to pharmacists from all fields of work and promotes the exchange and application of evidence-based approaches in practice.

With version 2.6, the pharmacy library strengthens its role as an indispensable tool for pharmaceutical advice and decision-making. Continuous development and the involvement of the specialist community ensure the relevance and quality of the platform for the future.
