The 20th Annual Meeting on Molecular Diagnostics of the German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (DGKL) will take place from May 20 to 22, 2026 at the Evangelische Akademie Tutzing on Lake Starnberg. Interested parties only have the opportunity to register until Monday, May 18, 2026 (subject to availability).

The anniversary conference focuses on “Laboratory meets AI” and examines the topic from the perspectives of the five sections of the Molecular Diagnostics Competence Field (Genomics, Bioinformatics, NMR Spectroscopy, Proteomics & Metabolomics, Clinical Mass Spectrometry) and the Biobanking Section. Due to the spatial conditions, the number of participants is limited to 120 people in order to enable an intensive interactive exchange.

The program includes cutting-edge lectures, including the keynote lecture by Prof. Dr. Frederick Klauschen on the topic of “Pathology Foundation Models – Use for Cancer Research and Clinical Diagnostics”. Other areas of focus include the integration of AI into diagnostic workflows, machine learning for hemoglobinopathies, NMR-based profiling and innovative biobanking approaches.

In addition, a social program (self-payer, approx. 20 euros) is planned to further promote professional exchange. The participation fee is 160 euros and includes the scientific program, the industrial exhibition, registration documents, refreshments during breaks as well as lunch and dinner (excluding drinks).

Over the past two decades, the Annual Conference on Molecular Diagnostics has developed into one of the most important German-language platforms for molecular diagnostics. The anniversary edition once again promises top-class contributions and new impulses for laboratory medicine.
