Wiley expands mass spectra database by over 17,500 spectra
The publisher Wiley has published its Wiley Registry of Mass Spectral Data with more than 17,500 new spectra. The database, which now contains over 913,000 spectra, is considered the standard for GC-MS analyses and is used in areas such as environmental sciences, forensics, toxicology, pharmacy, biotechnology and metabolomics.

The update contains spectra on new substances, including emerging drugs, insect pheromones, per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS), fatty acids, hydrocarbons, terpenes, alkaloids, and sulfur, halogen and organophosphorus compounds. The data comes from high-quality sources such as Cayman Chemical, research laboratories, Wiley journals and global patents.
Subscribers to the database, which is integrated into the KnowItAll platform, get instant access to the new spectra, which offers over 40,000 more spectra than the 2023 edition. The database supports the interpretation, identification and classification of spectra.
