Description

The Brandenburg Medical School Theodor Fontane (MHB) is a state-recognized university in municipal and non-profit sponsorship, which was founded in 2014. The network of supporting clinics has been recognized as a university hospital since 2021. In patient care, the Institute of Laboratory Medicine is the central service provider for diagnostics at the Brandenburg an der Havel site. In addition to the Brandenburg Hospital, it provides care to other hospitals and outpatients in the region. In the field of teaching, the Institute is involved in various teaching formats as part of the Brandenburg model degree course in medicine. In research, the institute acts as a service provider for studies. Its own research activities are thematically centered around the MHB focus on cardiovascular diseases.
