More than half of all cancer patients currently receive radiation therapy as part of their treatment. Thanks to advances in radiation oncology, tumors can be treated more precisely and therapies can be carried out more quickly. This improves survival rates and reduces side effects for patients.
This year’s congress will be the largest yet. More than 4,000 researchers from around the world will present their latest findings, including the results of clinical trials that will change the practice of radiation oncology. The theme of this year’s congress is “Shaping radiation oncology innovatively together”. The focus is on joining forces within the radiation oncology community to drive innovation, improve clinical practice and ultimately optimize patient care.
