The new Secretary General brings a versatile career with him. After graduating from high school in Wiesloch, Schmidt-Eisenlohr studied business administration at the DHBW Mannheim, followed by a master’s degree in industrial engineering at the Mannheim University of Applied Sciences and a doctorate in business informatics at the Technical University of Darmstadt. From 2011 to 2016, he was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg and spokesman for science, research and art for the Green parliamentary group. He then headed the Baden-Württemberg International State Agency, which networks the science location internationally. Most recently, he held management positions in the IT industry.

The EU4Dual Alliance aims to establish dual higher education as a forward-looking model for mastering economic, ecological and social challenges. With partner universities from France, Austria, Finland, Hungary, Malta, Spain, Croatia and Poland, EU4Dual is building the world’s largest integrated higher education institution that is multidisciplinary and closely interlinked with business and regions. Schmidt-Eisenlohr’s appointment marks an important step in the further development of the alliance, which is to become an international reference for dual education.
