DGKL announces three scientific prizes for 2026
The German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (DGKL) is offering three scientific prizes for 2026. The aim is to honour excellent research achievements, promote young scientists and make innovative developments in the digitalisation of laboratory medicine visible.
For more than 50 years, the Prize for Biochemical Analysis has honored methodological advances in biochemical and molecular analysis. Work that uses modern analytical methods to enable new findings in clinical chemistry and biochemistry will be considered. The sponsor is SARSTEDT AG & Co. KG.

The Ivar Trautschold Young Scientist Award is aimed at young scientists who have made a difference in their work in clinical chemistry and laboratory medicine. The award promotes innovative approaches by young researchers and underlines their importance for the field. The founder is Sonic Healthcare Germany GmbH & Co. KG.
The Digital Laboratory Award honors projects that are shaping the digital transformation in laboratory medicine. The prize is awarded for digital concepts, technological innovations and solutions for optimising laboratory processes. The founder is Limbach Gruppe SE.
