About the author JLM

The Journal of Laboratory Medicine (JLM) is the official journal of the German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (DGKL) and is affiliated with the Austrian Society for Laboratory Medicine and Clinical Chemistry (ÖGLMKC). The journal publishes articles on the latest developments in laboratory medicine. It focuses on diagnostic, clinical, methodological and pathogenic aspects of the modern clinical laboratory as well as technical and regulatory topics and training. JLM is published every two months. All articles submitted for publication in JLM are subject to double-blind peer review by at least two experts in the field, selected and invited by the Editor-in-Chief and a dedicated editorial team. JLM only publishes articles in English.

JLM is an open access journal. To enable the publication of all fully peer-reviewed manuscripts, an article processing charge (APC) is charged for each article accepted for publication in JLM, which is paid by the authors' institutions, funders and sponsors or institutions that have an agreement with the publisher De Gruyter Brill . Invited authors and members of the DGKL and ÖGLMKC can either publish free of charge or receive a significant discount. Detailed information on the APCs is published on the journal's homepage.

The submission and peer review of manuscripts takes place in ScholarOne: https://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/jlm.
