AMBOSS launches online training course on laboratory diagnostics with DGKL expertise
AMBOSS has launched a new online training course on the 1×1 of laboratory diagnostics. The course teaches how laboratory values are specifically requested and interpreted in a clinical context. It comprises 19 CME points, recognized by the Berlin Medical Association and valid nationwide. The credit is automatically issued for at least seven out of ten correctly answered CME questions.
The course consists of eight video modules on key laboratory parameters, including haematological values, nephrology, urine diagnostics, immunohaematology, coagulation, cardiovascular parameters, and infection and sepsis diagnostics. Practical case studies and structured schemes support the application. The content is evidence-based, interdisciplinary and without sponsorship. There are no conflicts of interest.

The training was also developed in cooperation with the German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (DGKL). Expert Prof. Julie Schanz, member of the DGKL Presidium and senior physician at the University Medical Center Göttingen, and Dr. Nathalie Winkler, specialist in laboratory medicine, impart the knowledge.
The target group is physicians who want to evaluate laboratory findings more reliably. The course can be scheduled flexibly, without a fixed date. Until February 1, 2026, an early bird discount of 20 percent applies: 103.20 euros instead of 129 euros.
