AirMed World Congress 2026 in Munich with record program
The AirMed World Congress 2026 sets new standards in its 46-year history. From September 16 to 18, the organizers expect around 800 participants to attend more than 160 lectures, 85 workshops and 15 panel discussions – spread over two Munich venues. The world’s leading congress for air rescue and air ambulance is organised by ADAC Luftrettung together with the European HEMS and Air Ambulance Committee (EHAC).
Under the motto “Beyond Boundaries: Cross-Competence Enhancement of Aeromedical Services”, the program is divided into the focus areas of flight operations, medicine and management. In flight operations, the focus is on topics such as all-weather HEMS, drone integration, eVTOLs, safety culture and disaster control. Speakers from Airbus, EASA, FAA, REGA, Bell Helicopter, DLR and AMREF will speak there, including the President and CEO of the Association of Air Medical Services, Jana Williams, who will shed light on the safety dilemma in air rescue.
The medical field is dedicated to pre-hospital care in air transport, equipment selection, education and training, and the translation of scientific findings into practice. As an example, the Dutch anesthesiologist and intensive care physician Dr. Dinis dos Reis Miranda will present the results of the eCPR study, in which a heart-lung machine is already used at the point of use.

The management part deals with organizational structures, high-reliability organizations, site planning, crew composition and financing models. The CEO of Health Standards Aotearoa from New Zealand, David Waters, will explain the role of national regulatory authorities in defining and enforcing quality standards.
A special feature is the use of two locations: The BERGSON Kunstkraftwerk is mainly used for lectures and discussions, while the new ADAC Luftrettung Campus in Oberpfaffenhofen enables practical simulations and training. Around 120 speakers from six continents will provide international perspectives. On September 19, additional workshops on crew resource management, advanced life support and mission simulations will follow; an excursion leads to the ADAC crash test centre in Landsberg am Lech.
Around 30 exhibitors from the aerospace and medical technology sectors will present products and services. Interested parties can still book discounted early-bird tickets until the end of March. Early hotel reservations are recommended, as rates increase due to the subsequent Oktoberfest.
