Berlin: Akkon University of Applied Sciences Extends Application Deadline for Master’s Degree Programs in Health and Education
The Akkon University of Applied Sciences in Berlin is extending the application deadline for two part-time master’s degree programs due to the continuing high demand for qualified specialists in the health and education sectors. Applications for Advanced Nursing Practice (ANP) M.Sc. and Health, Nursing and Medical Education M.A. for the summer semester 2026 are now possible until April 15, 2026.
With these offers, the university specifically trains skilled workers for helping professions, which are central to the functioning of society. The degree programmes combine scientific basics with a high level of practical relevance, so that what has been learned can be applied directly in the workplace.
The ongoing shortage of staff in the health and education sectors makes it necessary to expand access options, the university announced. The deadline extension is intended to give interested parties who are particularly motivated at short notice the chance to start in the summer semester 2026.
Since 2009, the Akkon University of Human Sciences has been the first state-recognized university for human sciences in Germany and belongs to the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e.V. It offers interdisciplinary courses of study in the fields of nursing and medicine, education and social affairs, as well as humanitarian aid and civil protection. In teaching and research, it cooperates closely with social and humanitarian organizations as well as public institutions.
