DAGG Congress highlights innovations in surgical gynecology
From 9 to 11 October 2025, the German Academy of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (DAGG) will host its Congress Forum Operative Gynaecology at the International Congress Center Munich. The focus is on the latest developments, current challenges and innovative approaches in surgical gynecology.
As an educational organ of the German Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (DGGG), the DAGG offers a platform for the exchange of information about new technologies, improved surgical methods and individualised therapies. The program includes hands-on seminars, interactive hands-on courses, and basic sessions designed to deepen scientific knowledge and make it usable for clinical application.

The scientific programme reflects the breadth of the subject and highlights focal points such as gynaecological endoscopy, aesthetic and reconstructive procedures, urogynaecology with pelvic floor reconstruction, gynaecological oncology, obstetrics and prenatal medicine, endometriosis as well as endocrinology and reproductive medicine. The focus is on precision, innovation and patient well-being, with an exchange between experienced and young professionals to combine theory and practice and question established methods.
A highlight are video sessions with surgical videos that depict special situations, challenges, techniques and complication management. These serve as an alternative to live surgeries and include both standard procedures and advanced interventions in surgical gynecology and obstetrics.
The event promotes interdisciplinary exchange and knowledge exchange in order to further develop the field and ensure optimal patient care. The aim is to motivate young medical professionals to get involved in surgical gynaecology in order to maintain the high level in Germany.
The DAGG, founded in 2007 by the DGGG board, provides structured support for further education and training in clinics and practices, maintains content in the field, ensures further education and promotes developments in women’s health.
