by | Jul 22, 2025 | Health, Research

Scientific abstracts can now be submitted for the annual congress of the German Society for Pneumology and Respiratory Medicine (DGP ). The event will take place from March 18 to 21, 2026 in Munich and offers researchers the opportunity to present their clinical and basic research work to the pneumology community. Around 4,000 participants are expected.

Abstracts can be submitted via the congress website until midnight on September 21, 2025. They can be written in German or English on topics such as asthma, COPD, interstitial lung diseases, thoracic oncology, infections, mechanical ventilation, sleep-disordered breathing, basic research or respiratory health.

Accepted abstracts will be included in the program as posters, ePosters or free papers and published in a special issue of the journal PNEUMOLOGIE published by Thieme-Verlag. A jury will select the best submissions for abstract prizes with prize money of up to 1,500 euros.

Students have the opportunity to apply for a travel grant within Germany to actively participate in the congress. The DGP Congress 2026 offers a central platform for presenting current research findings to a broad specialist audience.
