Description

The Institute of Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Pharmacology was founded in July 2007 by merging the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and the Institute of Clinical Biochemistry and its research is primarily immunologically oriented.

The Institute represents the two specialist areas of clinical chemistry and clinical pharmacology in research, teaching and patient care. The Institute includes the central laboratory of the University Hospital, the Phase I unit for early clinical trials, the study center (together with the Institute of Medical Biometry, Informatics and Epidemiology, IMBIE), the BioBank Bonn (together with IMBIE and the Institute of Pathology), as well as scientific working groups. The Institute is a member of the ImmunoSciences and Infection research focus and is part of the Bonn Institutes of Immunosciences and Infection of the Bonn Medical Faculty.
